Summary^

Fix how atLog handles %_FATALF so that it doesn’t exit. The user should provide a function to call first to close out any open variables and prevent memory leaks before it exits with a failure.

Motivation^

In development of atRead and atTree, we began to find memory leaks when testing error cases. To fix this issue, we need to work our way from atLog back through downstream libraries to refactor fatal conditions so that the appropriate exit cases are handled.

Targets^

Goals^

  • Fix the FATALF macro to not exit

  • Fix the log.h generator

  • Fix atRead failure conditions to close out in code.

  • Fix atTree failure conditions to close out in code.
