Summary^
Develop a standard compiler tool that the end user calls to cache document structures into file data on which other tools may operate. Include support for rendering and validation.
Motivation^
The standard parser developed in INIT-1 provides the basic tooling to take a reStructuredText file and return a binary document structure. But, it only parses the basic content and cannot handle the depth of variety in reStructuredText.
This initiative aims to provides tools to allow users to define domain specifications and render rules. It should also provide tools that can operate on this data to produce C and JSON. The final aim for this initiative is a compiler tool ready for end users, which they can run to cache file data for future initiatives.
Targets^
Support for the specification domain
Support for command-line parser.
Support for validation tool used in developer testing
Support for cache-reads
Implementation of the default domain
Implementation of the compiler
